MARSHFIELD, Wis. — Marshfield senior Devin McKiski is headed back to the BCAW High School Bowling Club state tournament after finishing as the runner-up a year ago.
This year’s state tournament runs March 6-8 at Dale’s Weston Lanes in Weston (5902 Schofield Ave.). McKiski, who bowls for the Marawood Bowling Co-op out of EML Rozellville, will open singles qualifying Friday with a 3:30 p.m. start. Bowlers will compete in three games of qualifying and move lanes after each game.
The top 25% of the boys’ field, plus ties, will advance to the singles semifinals Saturday night. The semifinal round has a 6 p.m. report time, with introductions at 6:15 p.m. and bowling scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
The top five will move on to the singles stepladder finals Sunday morning. Check-in begins at 7:45 a.m. with orientation at 8 a.m. and a scheduled 8:30 a.m. start. Scholarships and plaques are awarded to the top five finishers in singles.
McKiski is coached by Dylan and Aleena Lepak and is the son of Gavin and Becky McKiski. He plans to continue his education at Rock Valley College, where he will bowl for the Golden Eagles.
