By David Murchland - Marshfield Now! MARSHFIELD — With the November 3 general election approaching, Marshfield voters have until Friday, October 30, to cast an in-person absentee ballot at City Hall. In-person absentee voting is available at 207 W. Sixth St. during the week of October 26. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. No in-person absentee voting will take place Monday, November 2. Voters who still have an absentee ballot should make plans to return it promptly. With Election Day nearing, it may be too late to rely on mail delivery. According to the city’s updated ballot-return instructions, voters may return their absentee ballot to their polling place or the clerk’s office by 4 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots may also be placed in the secure drop box at City Hall until 7 a.m. Tuesday, November 3. Before returning an absentee ballot, voters should check that the return envelope is signed and that the witness has completed the required information, including a signature and full address. Residents preparing to vote on Election Day are encouraged to confirm their polling location at MyVote.wi.gov. The website also allows voters to check their registration status and view what will appear on their ballot. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 3. Voters should bring an acceptable photo ID. Anyone in line by 8 p.m. may still cast a ballot. For questions about local in-person absentee voting or ballot-return arrangements, contact the Marshfield City Clerk’s Office at 715-486-2023.
